How to keep a white tee
for as long as you want it.
Most white t-shirts don't fail because of poor cotton. They fail because of how they are treated. A careless wash. A tumble dryer on high. A fold left too long in the wrong shape. The garment takes the blame, but the decision was yours.
This tee is built to last. The cotton is long-staple Supima — it does not degrade the way most cotton does. The construction is reinforced where it matters. But the material can only do so much. The rest is how you take care of it.

Washing
Machine wash cold, 30°C maximum. Always inside out — this protects the outer surface from friction and keeps the white from fading. Cold water preserves the fibre. Hot water breaks it down. There is no situation where hot is better.
Detergent
Use a mild detergent, liquid preferred. No bleach — ever. Bleach destroys the cotton fibre at the molecular level. If the tee has yellowed, use a white-specific detergent or a small amount of white wine vinegar in the rinse cycle. That's all it needs.
Drying
No dryer. The heat shrinks the cotton and weakens the fibres over time. Lay flat to dry on a clean surface, or hang on a shaped hanger away from direct sunlight. Sunlight will yellow the fabric. Give it air and time — both are free.
Ironing
Low heat, inside out. If you need to iron the outside, place a thin cloth between the iron and the fabric. Steam is your friend. High heat will damage the surface and create a shine you cannot remove.
Storage
Fold once. Squared corners. Store flat in a drawer — not hanging. A hanging tee on a wire hanger will stretch the collar and shoulders over time. Keep it with similar weight fabrics. Keep it away from anything that bleeds colour.
Stains
Treat immediately. Cold water and a small amount of mild soap, applied gently with a clean cloth. Do not scrub. Do not use hot water on a fresh stain — it sets it permanently. For older stains, soak in cold water with a white-specific detergent before washing.
The cotton gets softer with every wash. That is not a promise — it is the nature of long-staple fibre. The more you wear it and care for it correctly, the better it becomes. Most garments go the other way.
